What happens if the in-person portion of the conference is cancelled?
If the in-person portion of the conference is cancelled, we will be taking it 100% online (virtual livestream) and you will only be charged the Virtual fee of $179 for 1 person or $499 for small groups of 3 to 10. We will automatically apply your refund, so you do not need to email in to request a refund in the case of cancellation.
*If you not wish to attend virtually, you will have up to 2 weeks prior to the conference date to let us know. 100% refunds for the conference will be given.
Where should I get a hotel?
We have blocked out rooms at 2 different hotels in the area. This does give you a discount if you use the links on our site. There are expiration dates for these rates so make sure to book these as soon as possible.
Can I still get the conference notebook if I attend virtually?
We are providing a PDF version for all virtual attenders of our conference notebook.
Will the virtual sessions be available after they are streamed live?
We will have the virtual sessions available for a short time after the live stream. These will only be available 2 days after the conference.
We will have the entire conference available for download purchase in our store about a month after the conference is completed.
If I purchase the virtual ticket for groups of 3 - 10, can I send them my login information to attend from another computer?
You will not be able to share your login with anyone else. Whoever is looking to attend the conference with you virtually will need to be present at the time of your viewing.
Will virtual attenders be able to submit questions for the Q & A sessions?
Yes, we will have a place for you after each session to submit any questions you have to be considered for the Q & A panels.
Will lunch be provided at the conference?
No. We are not providing lunch for in-person attenders, however, the venue is in a central location with many local restaurants.
Will transportation from hotel to venue be provided?
We will not be providing shuttles from the venue to the hotels, so you will need to either use an Uber or Taxi, rental car, or drive yourself. There is plenty of parking on site at the event.
How can I become a virtual Host Venue/Church?
We have an option for churches/organizations to host a livestream event at a discounted rate. Each venue will need a signed contract between Walking The Text and the Host Venue. A few regulations for attendance requirements, COVID-19 protocols for their location, and a point person assigned to the Host Venue are also necessary. Fill out the form below to get started. What technical requirements are needed to be a virtual Host Venue/Church?
Each Host Venue will need to provide dedicated Internet Service for their broadcast room or auditorium. (A minimum of 100 Mbps service is recommended) A screen and projection system that is capable of at least Full HD output is also recommended. The livestream will come in 16x9 format at Full HD resolution (1920x1080p). An audio system capable of producing at least 92 dB for the room is recommended. All sound will come pre-mixed for streaming. If you choose to have additional resources for audio, you are welcome to add within your capacity.
